NOTE
The above points awarded at Open Shows are for mixed classes, if an Open Show has separate classes then the Res. Best of Breed will be replaced by Best Opposite Sex and will be awarded 4 points.

In any variety the points awarded will be the same as above, except Best of Breed will be replaced by Best Any Variety.

If a dog is entered in more than one class on the day of the show only points from one class will count ie: The class with the highest win.

CRUFTS DOG SHOW: Points are double for awards gained at this show.

Responsibility for submission of points lies with you, the exhibitor.

Points system in place for the working season

1st place – 25 points

2nd place – 20 points

3rd place – 15 points

4th place – 10 points

5th place – 9 points

6th place – 8 points

7th place – 7 points

8th place – 6 points

9th place – 5 points

10th place – 4 points

11th place – 3 points

12th place – 2 points

13th place – 1 point

BSHRA rallies/registered Nordic breed class where Greenland Dogs run against Siberian Huskies – flat rate 3 points for a place.

All entered must be paid up members of the GDCGB and dogs must be KC registered as Greenland Dogs.

Dogs must be entered on the relevant entry form, substitute dogs will only be awarded points if the organiser has accepted the substitution.

All dogs must complete the course to qualify for points, if an organiser runs a two day rally, both days must be attended to accrue full points. If only one day is attended, only half the points can be awarded, unless the rallies are run as two separate events.

A working season runs from 1st Oct to 30th April.

Points can be accrued from different classes during the season.

Dogs do not need to be driven by the same musher.

If a dog is entered in more than one class at any rally, only points from one class will count, the highest place will take precedence.

Dogs can be teamed with any of the Kennel Club registered sled dog breeds.

Disqualified teams can not accrue any points.

Tie break – The team with the highest positions take precedence. If the two highest places are from the same kennel, the award is to be shared. 

Committee decision is final.

The trophies are to be awarded to Best Working Greenland Dog and Runner Up Best Working Greenland Dog. A sash for Top Working Greenland Dog will be presented at the following AGM for the winner to keep.
